Oxford Learning Link: Link to Moodle

Oxford Learning Link is the online platform for Oxford University Press's digital textbooks and learning resources. Instructors who adopt an OUP digital resources can link them to a Moodle course page and/or gradebook. Student participants must purchase access to Student resources to view them in Moodle and they will NOT be able to Instructor-only OUP resources added to a course.

  • Instructor access to content on Oxford Learning Link (see Oxford's Information for Instructors)
  • an Instructor of record or Other editing teacher role in a Bryn Mawr Moodle course

Add OLL content to a course

Moodle creates a separate activity and gradebook item for every OLL content item that you add to your course. You may want to hide any non-graded items in the gradebook and hide any instructor resources added on the course page to prevent confusion.

  1. Log into your Moodle course.
  2. Toggle Editing mode on
  3. Go to a course section where you wish to add content and click + Add an Activity or Resource.
  4. Select External Tool.
  5. Enter a placeholder Activity name (it will be replaced with the titles of the content items you selected in step 8).
  6. Click the Preconfigured tools menu and choose Oxford Learning Link.
  7. Click Select Content.
  8. Check the boxes next to content items you wish to add.
  9. Click Add Selected Resources.
  10. Repeat steps 1-9 wherever you wish to add OLL content.

See Oxford's Instructor Support page for help using the OLL platform and troubleshooting.

Students can click the Moodle activities you've create to go directly to the corresponding Oxford Learning Link content. The first time they do, they will need to unlock their access by:

  • Redeeming an access code they purchased at the bookstore
  • Purchasing access with a credit card
  • Beginning a free trial to gain temporary access (useful during add/drop) at the end of the trial they must redeem an access code or purchase access in order to continue using the materials.
