NameCoach is a web-based tool that supports Bryn Mawr College’s goal of advancing diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism and fosters inclusive learning environments by helping community members learn to pronounce one another’s names. (See Why Getting Someone’s Name Right Matters.)
You can use NameCoach offers in several ways:
- Everyone can create a free NameBadge and add it to their email signature.
- Instructors and Other editing teachers can add a NameCoach Activity to a Moodle course to enable participants to share name pronunciations.
- Event hosts can use a Name Page to solicit name pronunciation recordings from invitees or honorees.
