Immersive Reader is an assistive technology platform built into Microsoft programs with features such as text-to-speech, line focus and temporary text appearance changes that can make reading on screen easier.
Before you begin, you may need the following:
- access to Microsoft 365/Microsoft Office
- Bryn Mawr College students, faculty and staff: use your college username and password to access Microsoft 365 online, on campus computers and personal computers.
- Haverford students can get access through Haverford (see IITS's Software Downloads)
- Anyone can use a free account to access Microsoft 365 apps online
In most applications, click the View menu, then Immersive Reader to launch it:
