EBSCOhost provides access to a range of scholarly resources, including reference databases, academic journals, and peer-reviewed articles. This article explains how you can use EBSCOhost to share academic content with students in your Moodle classes.
Before you start, you will need:
- An Instructor of record or Non-editing teacher role in a Bryn Mawr Moodle course
Add Ebscohost resources to Moodle
- Log into your Moodle course and switch Edit Mode on.
- Click Add content > Add an activity or resource in the appropriate section or subsection.
- A pop-menu will open. Find EBSCOhost and select it.
- A new page will open that's titled Add External Tool. Click the Select Content button.
- A new pop-up menu will open showing EBSCOhost's search menu. Use it to search for content relevant to your course.
- Once you've found the content you're looking for, click the Add item button.
- The pop-up menu will disappear and you'll return to the Add External Tool page. The title of the resource you selected in EBSCOhost will now appear in the Activity name field.
- Click Save and return to course or Click and display.
A link to the resource in EBSCOhost will now appear in your desired section or subsection.
